Number 1 Canada Square

The impressive Number 1 Canada Square (Canary Wharf Tower) is designed to sway 13.75 inches in the strongest wind which might only happen every 100 years. It stands at 244 metres (800 feet) above sea level and is the tallest building in Britain.

The four aircraft warning lights inset into the top of the tower’s pyramid each flash 40 times a minute, a combined total of 57,600 times a day.

The 50th floor can be reached from the lobby by lift in 40 seconds and the tower’s loading bay handles over 108,000 deliveries each year.

A pretty impressive building, especially when on the DLR at night!
